Warranty, Repairs & Customer-Supplied Equipment

This draft distinguishes statutory consumer rights from any optional manufacturer or commercial warranty and explains the intended repair intake process.

New goods: statutory conformity

Applicable statutory conformity rights apply. For Spanish consumer sales, the current general statutory conformity period for new goods is three years from delivery. This is the seller’s legal responsibility where the statutory conditions are met; it is not described here as a voluntary DinoBuilds commercial warranty.

An optional manufacturer or commercial warranty may provide additional protection, but it does not replace or reduce statutory rights against the seller.

Used or second-hand goods

Used or second-hand goods remain covered by statutory conformity rights. Where Spanish law permits and DinoBuilds expressly agrees this with the consumer for the particular sale, the intended shortened conformity period is one year from delivery. It will not be reduced below one year.

Customer-supplied components

  • DinoBuilds can install components supplied by the customer.
  • Installing a customer-supplied component does not make DinoBuilds its seller or manufacturer.
  • DinoBuilds remains responsible for its own workmanship where applicable.
  • A defect in a customer-supplied part that is unrelated to DinoBuilds’ work is not automatically a DinoBuilds product defect.

Repair intake and diagnostics

Customers should back up important data where reasonably possible, disclose known faults or damage, and give accurate information about the requested work.

DinoBuilds may inspect and record relevant existing condition or damage and carry out reasonable diagnostics and testing necessary for the requested service. This is not unlimited permission to access personal files.

Data and pre-existing damage

Repair and diagnostic work can involve a risk of data loss, so customers should maintain appropriate backups. This does not exclude responsibility that DinoBuilds cannot lawfully exclude, including responsibility for damage actually caused by DinoBuilds.

DinoBuilds is not responsible for faults or damage that existed before the service or are unrelated to the work performed, while remaining responsible where applicable for damage caused by its own work.

Service protection and unexpected work

Applicable statutory repair and service protections apply. This draft does not invent a separate commercial repair guarantee.

No additional chargeable work beyond the accepted scope will be carried out without customer approval.

Collection of equipment

Customers should collect completed equipment promptly. DinoBuilds may contact customers about uncollected items. Any storage, continued handling or disposal process will follow applicable law; equipment does not automatically become DinoBuilds property after a stated number of days.
